Cotinus coggygria Royal Purple 7G

A loose-spreading, multi-stemmed, deciduous shrub known for its purple foliage and smoke-like features. Tiny, yellowish flowers appear in branches and after blooming they form pinkish-purple hairs, covering the plant in fluffy, smoke-like puffs throughout the summer. Green, oval-shaped foliage emerges a deep red/maroon in spring, then maturing into deep shades of purples in the summer. Great use as a hedge, in a mixed border, or as specimen tree.
